PRESENT:

After the success of Sex, Cynicism and Other Small Miracles at the New York
International Fringe Festival, Red Lips Woman Productions presents the second original work and collaboration with Lachlan the Bray, LIFE ON HIATUS.

LIFE ON HIATUS explores the lives of four characters whose everyday existence has been interrupted. We are invited into the world of a college student facing astronomical student loans, a recently homeless veteran suffering from PTSD, a career-driven woman who has become unexpectedly pregnant and an unemployed migrant worker.
Performance poet Lachlan the Bray tells their stories through spoken word poetry, set to a live score by sound designer and composer, Mark Goodwin. Bay Area artist Strider Patton will provide a visual reality for the piece. Directed by Mia Romero.

Excellent Play. I am a screenwriter and really enjoyed the plot and the clever writing. The actors were all top notch and engaging. I kept wondering why they weren’t in LA working? Oh, that’s right because they prefer to live in the better city!
Mia Romero, who also produced, is tremendous in the lead, in a performance that’s clearly a great labor of love.
This show is ahhhmazing and so much of what we need now in San Francisco! Incredibly intelligent, funny, raw, honest to the point of tears (both through humor, tragedy, and sadness of the current environment of losing our space both queer, artist, and political), activists, academics... go to the theatre this weekend!
